Swisspower partnert neu mit Smart City Verband

Seit mehr als einem Jahr arbeiten wir mit Swisspower Innovation konkret am Thema IoT & Smart City für Schweizer Versorger. In diesem Zusammenhang haben mehrere Stadtwerke die Switzercloud zur Realisierung erster IoT-Lösungen ausgewählt. Swisspower ist jetzt neu auch Partner vom Verband Smart City Hub Switzerland. Wir gratulieren und freuen uns auf viele weitere gemeinsame Projekte.

Bern, 16. Mai 2019 – Um die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Stadtwerken und anderen Smart-City-Akteuren auf nationaler Ebene zu fördern, gehen Swisspower und der Verband Smart City Hub Switzerland eine strategische Partnerschaft ein. Der Smart City Hub wurde 2018 gegründet und zählt bisher 17 Mitglieder, darunter verschiedene engagierte Städte und bundesnahe Betriebe. Als Partner des Smart City Hub will Swisspower zur stärkeren Vernetzung der verschiedenen Smart-City-Akteure beitragen. «Der Smart City Hub ist eine ideale Plattform, um diese Akteure und ihre unterschiedlichen Blickwinkel auf die smarte Stadt zu koordinieren und konkrete Projekte anzustossen», sagt Ronny Kaufmann, CEO von Swisspower. Christian Geiger, Präsident des Smart City Hub, begrüsst die Partnerschaft mit Swisspower: «Die städtischen Energieversorger sind für das Gelingen einer Smart City von zentraler Bedeutung. »

Stadtwerke schaffen Smart-City-Infrastruktur und setzen Pilotprojekte um

Mit dem Aufbau moderner Infrastrukturen wie Glasfasernetze und LoRaWAN-Netze (Low Range Wide Area Network) sowie der Installation von Smart Metern schaffen Stadtwerke die Grundlage für viele Smart-City-Anwendungen. Verschiedene Swisspower- Stadtwerke setzen gemeinsam mit den Städten bereits konkrete Projekte um. Beispiele sind Echtzeit-Informationen zur Verfügbarkeit von Parkplätzen oder Elektrofahrzeug- Ladestationen, Strassenbeleuchtungen, die sich automatisch an die Verkehrssituation anpassen oder smarte Energiekonzepte für ganze Areale.

LoRa-Pilotprojekt von Swisspower Innovation

In ihrer Kooperation Swisspower Innovation identifiziert Swisspower erfolgversprechende Anwendungsfälle für das Internet der Dinge. Dazu testen mehrere Stadtwerke in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Schweizer Unternehmen Brunata AG die LoRa-Funktechnologie für verschiedene Anwendungen, von der Messung der Luftqualität in Schulhäusern bis hin zu Füllstandsanzeigen von Abfalleimern. «Es gibt eine Reihe von Herausforderungen in der Umsetzung des Internets der Dinge, von der Wirtschaftlichkeit bis hin zur Installation der richtigen Sensoren. Diese Fragen adressieren wir in unseren Pilotprojekten», erklärt Orlando Gehrig, Leiter Swisspower Innovation. Die Mitglieder von Swisspower Innovation profitieren dabei vom gegenseitigen Erfahrungsaustausch.

Ursalink and Brunata AG to Bring Greater IoT Versatility to Swiss Market

Ursalink, a global provider of hardware for the Internet of Things based in China and Swiss based IoT Solution Provider Brunata AG jointly announce the completion of software integration of Ursalink devices and gateways with Brunata's Switzercloud IoT Platform.

The partnership is designed to combine the diversity of Ursalink's LoRaWAN^® IoT hardware portfolio with the versatility of the Switzercloud IoT Platform in order to simplify the creation and deployment of Smart City, utility and many more IoT projects in Switzerland and abroad.

As a result, not only can Users inutitively visualise their IoT data for a wide variety of sensors and devices, but they can also create customised dashboards, share password protected reports via refreshable web-links as well as provide access to data available form anywhere, anytime on any smart device. Thereby simplifying useability and reducing the total cost.
